Lazy Saturday

EATHER is much better today!

Not exactly a breath of fresh air but it's tolerable.  So I got out in the yard and did some grass cutting, and some edge trimming, and just general puttering around.  I still had sweaty clothes when I was done but nothing like last week.

My dogs eat mushrooms I have no clue how they know which ones to eat. These 2 sisters were part of a pack of 7 that was abandoned here in the rural area, and they were starving! So I took them in. The whole pack would forage...they ate ripe persimmons that fell to the ground, acorns,  mushrooms, and deer poop!

I was able to adopt out 5 of the dogs and kept the two I have that was 12 years ago.  So today I watched Annie as she picked a mushroom then I looked it up in my book...this is the one I  think she picked and she ate 2 of them.  There's so many kinds of mushroom around here...especially with all the rain we had, and I thought something had died in the yard the smell of rotten meat but it's a big mushroom that has turned to this brown sludge and it smells horrible!
I googled it but did not find one like these..anyway I scoop them up with the shovel and toss them into the woods...its very hard even with using the book to ID the mushrooms...the book I have tells you if it's edible or not but so many look very similar.  I guess if the dogs can eat it so could I but...I really don't want to get sick so unless Im starving...I think I will leave that to the girls. I brushed Annie she is shedding...so much hair!!

Just got a text from my sisters in Denver again today with Jimmy for another checkup..and his eye pressure is down to 17 in one  eye and 18 in the other great news it needs to be below 21...SO all the care and attention of 3 drops in each eye 3 times a day is paying off...and it take both sisters to hold him to get it done he is about 75 lbs..

So thats good news.  Bout time for some good news eh?  Recall when I said I suspect my son lost his job, well he did he wasnt talking but finally he did.  It's not going to be good for ME, that is for sure I just hope I can  keep him living in mom's house cause I really don't think I can do another stint with him living here in my house. AND he got a cat and Im allergic to cat hair! We just are cut from different cloth! I won't go into anymore detail on that..but just hope he gets employed again soon.

I needed to mail a card, and I had no stamp...so I taped 50c to the envelope and a note that says thanks..I wonder if the post lady will take it or will she leave me a stamp and the letter sitting in the box?  When I was selling on ebay I had all sorts of boxes and packages going out I'd hang them on the box in a bag if they didn't fit, and she always took them...I left her a good tip every Christmas Holiday but since I stopped doing ebay I haven't left her a tip..
The main reason I stopped was they kept changing the listing rules, and the inventory was cluttering up my space it had to be inside in temperature regulated area... so that just got old seemed like every day I was moving it around so finally I just stopped!

My BiL supports himself by selling Lego online.  And my sis has an online fabric etsy store...so there is money to be made selling online, I used to be an Amazon bookseller when I lived in NYC...but then they started charging so much for shipping it killed my market.
I was a cub scout leader when my son was young...we used to make about $30 a month selling aluminum cans for scrap to use for pack projects.  I asked each cub to bring in cans and I always donated mine and what I could pick up along the road when i took my walk...and then I continued to sell back my cans for years....but since TRUMP put in his tariffs, and China is NOT buying from the USA....the price of scrap metal and aluminum feel down so low it's hardly worth the trouble, so i just put mine in the recycle bins at the trash center and I guess the county sells them for cash.  SO there is another thing Donald ruined for us all!! Maybe when Joe is elected I will go back to scraping. Copper is still high but it's hard to come by.
A lot of people make a decent living on Youtube.  It's not easy tho you have to keep creating new content I have a Youtube channel it's supposed to be a DIY how to kind of thing but I put nature hikes, birds, and trips I've done, stuff around the homestead, so it's just like me, Jack of All Trades master of none kind of thing...
I wish I could beef it up IF I had more DIY content it would be awesome I've gotten like 2 or 3K views on some of my Car repair how to...Like the one of replacing the electric window regulator in my van LOTS of people have used it to do their window and  they are all so happy they saved money! I always say another $80 saved but sometimes it's way more....like I replaced the alternator in my van...That would have cost a bundle.

It's about 4 pm Im watching Night Gallery on Comet the Sci-fi antenna channel. Im just really happy it's not Godzilla again...lol OH my those Japanese movies from back in the day pretty lame...You can almost see the zipper on the Godzilla costume.
Just a low key kind of labor day weekend here...Im happy to be done with chores and just relaxing at home...the simple life is all I care to aspire to at this moment in time.
Now a movie called Galaxina is coming on...and the space ship looks a lot like an egg carton painted silver...oh boy, and it seems to be manned by robots...that look like Bond Girls..

Okay I may watch Youtube instead.  I watched one earlier that was super cool...Tristan is this outdoor adventure guy he camps in his SUV, so it's called SUV'rving. And he always has excellent adventures...today he was biking in northern Idaho a rails to trails called Hiawatha Bike Trail  Any one in reasonably good condition could do this because you can ride downhill and then get a shuttle back up.  It's a 15 mile trip.  Excellent view!! Some of those trestle bridges were TALL tho.
If there is nothing else on TV on Saturday night I watch a show called Svengoolie...he shows old and sometimes Classic or a B  horror flicks.  Think Vincent Price, or the Bride of Frankenstein and he is always silly but it's fun.  Normally.

When I was about 6 I cut my hair off with a pair of scissors...lol My mom nearly died it looked pretty bad big chunks just gone! And then when my younger sis was about 6 she saved off her eyebrows...She came in the room and I knew she looked different but I was 9 and so I didn't really know why she looked weird..but when she walked into the kitchen I heard Mom yell "OH MY GOD"
My older sister had long hair and she was always doing  things like washing it in raw eggs, or beer, or rolling it up on soup cans...all kinds of weird stuff so one day she was trying to dry her hair...we had an old brown army desk top fan, all metal.  She turned on the oven pulled the door down put the fan on the door and was standing with her hair over the fan to dry it...AND her hair got caught in the fan...The fan climbed right up her hair and was hung up just jumping and bumping against her head!! She was screaming ....I just happened to be in the room so I grabbed the plug...but it took a while to untangle that  heavy fan from her hair and some chunks got jerked out and was spun around the shaft of the fan blade!!

I don't know how my Mom ever stayed as sane as she did!
Ok this movie really sucks time to change the channel. OH no Riverdance. UGHHH
Oh this is better, PBS African American's Many Rivers to Cross...a documentary of the AA struggle in this country. I think I will watch that.
SO this was just a Ramble post hope something in it was amusing or of interest.
