down to the Low Country which is the region that comes before the coastal region. One of my favorite spots to bird just reopened for the season, they close in winter to give waterfowl the chance to feed and get prepared for migration.
Today I FINALLY got the Barn Owl. It had been reported and the guy did note the exact box the owl is preparing to nest in. Its right by the road too...I don't think I took a photo of the exact look of the box its a prefab nest box they put out for Wood Duck or anything that wants to get in there...So when it was time to pull over and have my lunch I decided to do a 45 minute stake out in front of the box and it paid off...

There was 65 Tundra Swan, and a ton of shorebirds wayyyy far out that even with a scope there was no ID'ing all of them. There was a mirage of heat rising up due to the sun finally being out and it made getting a clear look impossible. So I did a lot of walking since they had most of the roads gated due to the mud,,,,so it was park on the main wildlife drive then walk to the ponds...or viewing areas, so I really had a nice day finally a

Swengoolie is another no go...Return of the Invisible Man...not my cuppa.
No biggie, Im so sleepy anyway since I got up at 6 am, and drove all day...
