On Mom's burial crypt...its the one we bought last year and I put it away for this year..it looked  nice A lot of people had put seasonal decorations on the graves of their loved ones.  Its going to be a very hard Christmas for many American's this year, as well as people world wide.  I am taking a moment to remember all those who have lost their life this year...due to covid and for any reason really...I don't know all of them but I did know some of them.  Mom's friend Nettie, A lady who was our bowling league secretary, two of my school teachers, My friends bother...all those swift candles, out out.  Empty spots.  Yesterday (8th) was the anniversary of John Lennon's death...he has been dead as long as he lived..40 yrs.  Give Peace a chance...

I saw on the weather this morning that many in the northern and Southern hemisphere will be seeing the Aurora Borealis in the morning and tomorrow as a huge wave of Plasma  has shot off the sun.   People as far south as Oregon and Pennsylvania may be able to see it if clouds open up..here in the USA. 

Wow I'd love to see that.  Who knows maybe one day...I really do hope there is life after death in some form...spiritual or a parallel universe..I don't know you tell me, and in that afterlife we get to see and do all the things we didn't get to the first go'round.  Will we spend eternity exploring the Universe, and then moving on to the next?  I suppose one day we will all know or not. We will be in those Strawberry Fields. 

I uploaded my van ceiling redo video to YouTube today, I haven't been in a mood to do many YouTube uploads I have made a few but was just not excited about sharing.   I do watch a lot of youtubers...most of them are over 40 and several are into their 60's,  It is good to learn from each other. 

Trump held a vaccine summit and the two leading vaccine creators Pfizer and Moderna did not attend...why would they?  He only wants to try and bring attention to himself...you know gratitude is a special feeling he has none.  He only wants to exploit the vaccine for his own bloated ego.  Im glad the world is now showing him he has lost his power, he is just a regular blow hole now..without a world audience.  I think there will be street parties on the day he leaves..I don't know how many people will attend Joe's inauguration due to covid, but I hope they come out to show their support of Joe.  I hear Trump has planned some alternative "show" to try and steer TV watchers to him...What a selfish evil man.  
I will be tuning in Joe's channel and I hope the WORLD will too.  

The Devil went down to Georgia, but all we are saying is give  peace a chance...Mr Lennon said it so well.  We have a shot as bold as that Aurora Borealis to shine brightly again...and push McConnell, and the evil dark side, to the back of the BUS.  If the state of Georgia elects 2 democratic Senate candidates...MY hopes are very high. 

Well not much else from me today, it was quite a trying and tearful day for me. One thing that bought a smile to me, was I opened up the mailbox and reached in and drew out a large red envelope and when I grabbed it, it started to Sing...

That made my day and it is an awesome pop up card with blinking lights and a nice song to boot.

Why are we here...

Im really beginning to wonder that...as things are not going as planned in my life..

Anyways here is a photo of the cat tower,.,

It came out pretty good actually I just hope it will be cat approved.  I am not a cat person,,,although we had cats when we were kids and dogs and horses...but I sort of stopped with the cats after I grew up.  My son however is a cat person...he is the opposite of everything we taught him to be.  Can you explain that to me?  If I say it's black he makes sure in his life its white.  He is not like me, my husband, or anyone in our family...its almost like he is from another planet. 

Very cold today I had to straighten my shed up and put things back since my last 2 projects I had dragged so many things out..And didn't put things back where it belonged...It's a little better  now..

Then I got the wood in for tonight sawed up a few pieces that I had brought out of the woods, finished up my greeting cards and got them in the mailbox, had dinner, fed the dogs and now relaxing. 

Flossie, one of my dogs has a bad acl,...the vet told me, it would do little good at her age to do anything with it, rest her and keep her from over doing it, that was 3 yrs ago or so....she slipped on the slick floor and now she is limping really bad again...both my dogs are old they are sisters so 13 yrs old  this coming year,,,and Annie has a really bad arthritic front leg the wrist joint is twice the size of normal ones.  

I want tomorrow to be a better day for me.  Sometimes I think we should have an off switch so we can just switch off till better times roll around.

ONDER what my next project will be?

Actually I have one tiny little thing to do and it's done but that is a just an after thought..

Its not exactly how I envisioned it to be but pretty darn close.  I went through a lot of hot glue..I already had much of what I needed on hand like that glue, staples, and tack nails..the wood for the project and the screws etc.  So I built if for about $40. 

I hope Bella will enjoy lounging and climbing on it..I will take some photos of the finished product tomorrow.  It got dark and began to rain so I had to quickly put things away...

No Fire tonight just using the gas heater it's quite comfy in here.  I didn't take the time to bring any wood in.  I went to town early to return the Chromebook.  I found one on Ebay that has Win S-10 which is safe mode same I have but I was able to bypass safe mode must remember how I did that...think I googled it and it took me thru the steps and then I was able to download Chrome, it is my favorite browser.  AND this one has HDMI port on it.  It will arrive next Monday. 

I had Veggie's with a baked potato for dinner and a donut for desert.  Tonight I watched a western movie, a modern day western, it was a good drama.  Robert DuVall.. and a lady Texas Ranger solving a 15 year old cold case of a missing boy.  The movie is titled Wild Horses, set in Texas, which is a beautiful state by the way.  

I have traveled pretty much ever area of Texas.  I've camped on the beach along the Gulf of Mexico a few times a really wonderful experience.  Went to many of the Wild Life Refuges down that area of the coast through Galveston, San Padre Island, Goose Island...  I spent time in the Lower Rio Grand Valley...lotsss of birding spots there but such a fast paced crowded area.   Then followed the Rio Grande from Brownsville, up to Rio Bravo, and Laredo...and eventually to Del Rio camping  along the way in various parks and natural areas.  Fell in Love with Big Bend,  the Chisos mountains, Also camped and birded in the Lost Maples Natural Area not far from San Antonio.  Visited the Davis Mountains, the Guadalupe Mountains, and the Franklin mountains and El Paso on my way to Las Cruses NM.  

My sister lived in Dallas, for a couple years so spent time visiting her there...drove across TX on I-40 a few times...I've zig zagged all over Texas and still there is so much to see there.  

Anyway that has nothing to do with the cat tower it has to do with the movie,...lol

I  have been wanting to return to Texas for a couple years now...hopefully 2021 will be a good year for me.

A Year...

hen hearts are broken...

Today was another memorial  day for us and so many other families.  I mentioned the funeral home that handled my Mom's funeral was having their year end Memorial and since my Mom passed so near the end of last year she was included in this year's memorial.  So we drove over and did the drive up ornament pick up and later back at home we watched the live stream of the memorial..This is the second Memorial this year...the other was the Hospice she was a patient of for only 3 hrs before she passed...

We watched so many photos pass by names called and I know the grief behind each one...really sad. And then multiply that by all the loss of covid nationwide and we are a nation in mourning.  With a stinking spoiled President who says nothing who feels nothing who has not said ONE word to comfort the living and to memorialize the dead. 
I know a heartless monster when I see one.   

Later it was a cold and grey day so it was time for movies...but first my son and I took my van around the block...When I sat in the riders seat I heard nothing...he said he thinks its the exhaust system..I disagree.  So he had me stand by the road...and he blew past me 3 times...I heard nothing.  So we came up with --zippo.   Any one watching us from a window would have thought we had gone completely mad.  He stopped I got out he raced away while I moved to the other side of the road...he turned around and raced past me.  The he did a U-turn and raced past me while I stood with my hands on my hips...listening intently...then I moved to the opposite side of the road, he turned around once again and Zoomed right up to me, I stuck my thumb out he stopped and I got in and we zoomed off together.  

I can only imagine what must go thru the mind of anyone who was watching...lol.  It may be in the morning paper. 

So like I said then we just hit the couch and movied it up the rest of the day...I put Mom's ornament on the mantle with John's, his is an angel hers is a peace dove...both are nice crystal...and reflect the light very well....if I put up a tree they will hang there but if not they will stay on the mantle.

I did make out some season's greeting cards after breakfast this morning...as I receive  cards and enjoy hearing from extended family who live in Indiana, Michigan, Tennessee, Colorado...and some friends also from other states, so I am happy to send the same...a greeting of peace and the wish for a  Better New Year. I do not send out one single local card...I did in years past but no longer. 

I need and have many trash cans I use to collect the sticks that fall and I pick them up to be part of the nightly fire.  It saves me time of taking them away or dealing with them in another  ways.  I never buy trash cans or storage containers for this job.   I like the storage containers because they are square, easier to pack sticks in but I also use the round ones...Today when we dropped off our trash I pulled 2 excellent condition plastic trash cans off the top of the Miscellaneous bin. Both very clean...one has a broken handle, one has a chip missing out of the top...they will replace one that got completely destroyed when a tree we were cutting last year fell on it...and the other a round can that had splits up the side...so a good find.  Both of these have been in use tho with duct tape holding them together, so now they have finally expired!  

Why buy a trash can that sits out behind the shed it's entire life when I can get them for free?

ORKING ON THE TOWER.

It was a brisk but sunny day so I was at it for several hours till I grew tired and ready to come inside.  It's coming along...but Im not too happy with how the inside looks so I may redo that part...I will decide that next time I work on it...may not be tomorrow. 

I have some errands to do in town,  I have to visit the funeral home that handled mom's funeral and pick up a special Christmas Ornament...and I forgot to get the chicken  nuggets the dogs like to eat.  So I asked my son to drive me.  Since I don't know what is causing that loud sound in my van ..I don't want to do a lot of driving till it's repaired.  I assumed it was the wheel bearing, but the mechanic did that just last week...I want to take it to the Mechanic who did the work on my differential about 4 yrs ago...he is an expert.  

 I will call and see if he can check it or drive it and at least diagnose the trouble and give me an estimate and get it lined up to be done.  The whole front end needs to be replaced, and it needs new shocks. I would love to have heavier leaf springs put on..if only I had a lift lol.  Many things I used to be able to do I can no longer...aging sucks.

I don't know if I will get to see Svengoolie tonight son may be coming for a movie, he is not into the classics.  It's Revenge of Frankenstein's  1958 and in color.  We watched a really good one on Thursday,  Black Mountain Side, filmed in Canada, a good thriller.  A group of Archaeologists were unearthing some sort of never before seen Ancient dwelling with artifacts and then strange things begin to happen to the crew and one by one they kill each other...and just when you think one guy will make it back to civilization if he can walk 90 miles in deep snow....he is caught in a Bear Trap! Damn. 

I had veggie burger with fries for dinner tonight,,,,I like to brown the onion a whole slice and put only mustard, then put it on a Sourdough English Muffin that I pan heat so it gets really soft...quite delicious.  My son joined me then he went home to feed Bella the cat.  So he may or may not come back for a movie, we watched Amityville II while we ate dinner. A sequel to that is currently on Comet. The antenna Sci-Fi channel. 

I went to Amityville when I lived in NY many times.  We had to take a patients home who had a complete knee replacements at the Hospital for Special Surgeries In NYC.  LOTS of NYC firefighters live in Jersey and out on the Island.  AND a lot of them have to get new knees.  It's only forty miles from the city, out east as they say meaning onto Long Island.  Sometimes we took people to Montauk as far as you could go on Long Island.  That would take all day and was normally the only call we could cover that day. 

Sometimes we went  via 9A  over to the Jersey side then back into NY over the Tappan Zee to Tarrytown   and the land of the Headless horseman, Sleepy Hollow, NY many times to bring patients home from Cancer treatments or Heart Transplants, and they were so happy to be home as you can imagine.  

The fire is burning it's quite chilly so it feels good.  OH and the wool blanket had been found I asked son to check at his place and it was there.  I seem to recall sending it over there when My sister was there to help with cold nights an extra blanket in case there was not enough there.

HILE WE WAIT OUT THE NEXT 7 WEEKS?

So Barr said there was no fraud found and Trump said he has not looked at the evidence...but Barr's attorneys, FBI Agents, and other Special Inspectors found nothing...so the evidence Trump is referring to is the evidence He and Rudy G and his crooked family are creating?? I assume.  His 45 minute tirate was not aired on ANY channel I watch...the only way I knew he had done one was a Youtuber who has been making reports on his attempts to defraud the nation brought it up in one of his episodes.  I can only imagine.  

He thinks he can overturn the election with his Mouth...I wish someone would spare us any MORE Trump BS.   It's possible there will be violence in GA in JAN during the run off election.  If they are smart they will call out their National Guard to stand at each polling location to stop threats, and any abuse to voters.  

The Republican party I see  as a bad joke and the joke is being played on the stability of our Nation.  We have a real chance here to get McConnell demoted and  OUT of power..what a gift that would be.  He is on my 10 most wanted list.  Most wanted OUT of Washington. Somebody please take out the trash. 

Meanwhile the pandemic kills 2,600 in one day?  Those are voters dying out there one lady lost both her elderly parents within seconds of each other.  I wonder how many Trump voters have passed away? Does he care? NO he has not even mentioned the deaths.  All expendable to him...no longer able to donate to HIS cause.  HE has not pushed the Senate to approve a second stimulus while HE BEGS American's for MONEY!! And they are nuts enough to give it to him. He said he was going to continue to hold rallies, so far he has not.  He  actually has not paid different venues where he held his campaign rallies, he OWES as far back as 4 yrs ago.  He took people's money to fund  his campaign but he is not paying his campaign bills...same as he never pays any of this bills.

So Judge Sullivan will decide if the charges are to be dropped against Mike Flynn, and a legal group called We The People submitted a brief asking the question if the pardon given to Flynn by DJT was unconstitutional?  Meanwhile DJT said the news of pardons for his family is Fake News but I think we will see in the end? 

Today I continued on the scratch pole part of the cat tower.  Very slow process winding and gluing the sisal rope around the 2 x 4.  BUT I got it done...took me about 2 1/2 hrs to complete.  Now onto the next part of the project, the base and the upright supports..

Its not winter yet but it sure is cold enough to call it winter.  My fireplace is not cutting it right now so I have the gas on also, for a while to get it warm.  Today was not my finest day.  I slept poorly so been dragging all day...in a mental fog also. 

It's one of those days I felt that all the other people on this planet are only put here to annoy me.  Petty and lame eh?

I had to do some returns of a few items I had purchased.  I waited in line a long time to return the items, and I was people watching.  I think people watching is a little like bird watching.  My mind**She is wearing a really ugly wig, he has tufts of hair coming out his ears, how can she walk in those shoes, those nails omg**....Yeah. 

I could hear that sound that is still in my van.  The brakes are working so much better tho..so Im happy I had that done,  And it could be a cupped tire..it seems to have gotten louder after I had the tire rotation.

I noticed Trump is now saying Barr has not looked over any evidence (because there is NONE)  and when asked if he had lost confidence in Barr, he said "we'll see over the next couple weeks"...OMG so in other words DO my bidding or else.  Any President who threatens the Attorney General that way is a total crook.  And people in Georgia trying to force their AG to come up with some kind of Suddenly found fraud.  NO freaking way.  Giving threats to election poll workers, Any State that bends to these threats should be investigated, even crooked Lindsey Graham said "put up or shut up" basically today.  He said, "Making a video saying there is fraud, is not evidence" I guess he started to feel the heat of his own ridiculous sherrade. 

So Obama, Clinton, and Bush are going to get the vaccine asa it's released...hmmm guess we will be watching to see how they do.  

So Friday again wonder if the jerk neighbors will decide to have another party??  I wish I had a skyrocket....they are quite loud.  Sometimes I think Im marking off my life one Friday at a time.
