Cool and Breezy so...

AS BUNDLED UP TODAY

A cold wind blew all day...I got my van back yesterday afternoon so I went out in nature today looking for birds, found a few but it sure was chilly mostly I birded from the window in the van, I did take a couple short hikes. It was a good day. 

I did get emotional when I went to a spot my Mom loved...and it made me really sad...somedays I just have to let it out.  One line in a Sarah Mc. song came to mind, the line goes like this. 
"you did what you had to go, and I just don't know to let you go."

So in my mind, she did what she had to do...she left this Earth her body all used up..

But I don't know how to come to terms with it yet I can't do what I have to do...I mean even tho she was 95, she got unwell 4 days before she passed...so it was so sudden and it blew my mind. Im more in healing now than 6 months ago, but some days it  hits me like a ton of brick. 

The Great British Bake Off is on TV I really enjoy this show...Paul and Mary are great this looks like an old one, don't know if they are making new seasons of it...hope so. 

They  are making a savory pie, Some of the creations are amazing some are total flops..

Ive been mostly staying away from Politics click on a You tube now and then but turn them off quick as I start to get annoyed with the stupidity of some people. 

My Internet server is throttling me...Too many movie streams I imagine.   Its amazing  how greedy a company can be, AT&T is my provider. but I think Google has something to do with it also,..when I used Firefox it's faster...

Well not much else for the day...and don't know exactly my plan for tomorrow, if its NOT cold and windy I may go to Santee to see if I can spot the Short eared Owls that have been there a couple months now...Only a few have gotten photos of them as  the main access to the area is off limits until March 1, so you can go up on this tower and scan your heart out but you cant get close to the action...

MY sisters birthday tomorrow...I made a video for  her and Im trying to upload, it's taking forever..

Enjoy your Saturday Night...I don't know if Svengoolie has anything good on...I love him but my son does not. Oh well it's about the only thing we do together I'd love him to come out on some of my day trips if he would.

EATHER GODS DID GOOD TODAY...

With a day like today the best thing to do is go hiking and so that's what I did.  Im continuing to explore the wildlife refuge that is not too far away from me...takes me about 27 minutes to get there.,,and that normally includes a stop for gas in one of the small towns I pass through on the way.  I saw only one other guy there and he was walking alongside the wildlife drive I slowed but he didn't flag me down so I kept going I assume he was out enjoying the awesome day also...

Im trying to hike in areas that I haven't done there before,..and each one has netted a surprise for me.  Today I turned down Rd 5.  Its a dirt road and so I drove down and surprise 2 small ponds,  they call them lakes but to me it's a pond.  There is Upper Twin Lake and Lower Twin Lake...yes 2 ponds connected by a single flow.  I parked and hiked a little there...I also hiked on Tates Trail again it's a favorite spot to look for ducks but saw none.

Then I pulled into a hiking path off the Wildlife Drive that I've been curious about forever,,,So today hiked it.  A mile round trip Im guessing. I can't get any cell service there or I'd run my birding app it has a tracking feature in it and it shows your path and how far you went.  This path has no name,,,but it finishes up at the back side of Pool D one of the bigger ponds. And there was an old hunters blind there glad to say it is no longer in use,,,

I did not see many birds.  And no waterfowl.  We just had some really cold nights so maybe they all went farther south.  But I enjoyed the hiking a lot.  Felt good to get the legs moving and to feel the sun on my face...tomorrow is going to be even warmer.

I got  home about 4:30, its now an hour later I've eaten, the girls have eaten, the fire is burning and I had a shower.  Then I realized my clock had stopped.  I keep a battery clock in the kitchen...So changed out the battery in that.  Flossie is walking a little better today I've been helping her get in and out of the house...by using a soft blanket under her belly to help hoist her up the steps...

So now the news is all about the vaccine.  But don't forget it does NOT prevent the virus from getting you,,,it is only to try and keep it from killing you if you get the virus.  Still have to keep the mask on etc.  I have to wonder if it will change anything,,,Did you know Ted Cruz the Senate zit from TX said "watch the virus disappear asa Joe takes office" So I assume he is saying it's a democratic hoax????WOW we hoaxed a virus World Wide,,,,and completely stole an election right out from under 50 states and 70 Million voters,,,I think we may have to change the name of the Democratic party to the Grand Wizzards!! Our power is pretty damn good eh? Let me just say if we had that kind of power, there would be no Ted Cruz. Abra Cadabra,,,,,he is gone.

Trump is still trying to 'overturn" the election,..he is a complete HORSE'S ASS......They are trying to say that 4 swing states illegally changed their election laws...but that is hogwash.  States have the RIGHT to do that.  NOW Texas is trying to sue those states,  the AG who filed the suit   is under investigation for corruption,  so that tells you his character....BUT come Monday the electoral college will do it's thing and it's in stone.  TRUMP GO BACK UNDER YOUR ROCK where all slugs belong.  I hope all his hair falls out and he has double bogey's every single day, and his flat feet get flatter.  lol Now watch all that happen to me.  Karma is a bitch.
