It feels like

alking backwards...

Speaking of going back and trying to find my old photos....Many I will not be able to find so those I will improvise, Many of those are BIRDS.  I would upload my bird photos and then delete them from my computer to save space...So right now Im concentrating on the ones I do have the photos for.  I've been hard at it for 2016..I did a good job of holding onto those photos and they have been easy to find on my many thumb drives.

I have ordered a USB wire that I can hook  up to the hard drive in my old PC and hopefully open up the Photos Files and see what's in there...Prior to 2015, I put all my photos on an external HD that decided it would not open..I don't know if I have the correct drivers....so I will see if this wire will help with that too...maybe not.  It was a Western Tec 1 Terabyte and it is called My Book...is that how you say it? It was 1,000 GB

I had moved some photos off my old XP laptop to my old XP PC, right before it decided to stop moving past start...So I hope to recover those.  I'ts less than $10 this wire so Its not a big loss if it does not work.

Warm today bees all over the place the hummer zipping around the yard, and birds singing...
I got my bike all back together and the little bit of riding I did made my legs sore especially my ankles! So today I gave that a rest.

I took my big quilts to the Laundry-mat to do in the big front loader, so I will put the summer weight on the bed, and the winter one will go into it's plastic bag to spend the summer in the closet.   I did leave my electric blanket on in case it jumps back to cold...it's a ,midweight blanket and once it warms enough I will remove it and summer rules will be in play.

We need some rain amazingly it just doesn't stay in the sandy soil the rain would help settle down the pollen...and dust.
I have a good movie picked out for tonight,,It's a thriller and my sis suggested it, I found it on bflix so Im glad for that and looking forward to seeing it..
Do you know Helen Hunt (Twister) (Peggy Sue Got Married),  (Cast Away), this  one is called
I SEE YOU  (2019) It looks really good.  So after Jeopardy I will put it on...Monday is a graveyard for antenna tv normally I don't even bother on Monday I watch You Tubes.
I got nothing else for today
See ya next time.

Maybe

HEELS make things easier...

So I checked bicycles too expensive so I got tires for my old one...I plan to lower the seat and raise the handle bars if I can..I got the tires and tubes back on the spoke wheel, NOW if I can get the wheels back on the bike, I thought it was 7 speeds, it's 21 speed..Shows what I know...It was so cold and windy I was not able to finish the job I hope tomorrow is better..I also got a little pump to attach to the bike...I have a front mount basket also that belonged to my x when I got rid of the bike he had it had been wrecked and I didn't like that bike so I took it to salvage..I hope that basket will fit my bike...we shall see...I wish It had more upright handle bars, it has like racing style or something like that..I guess I could change it,

So I havent ridden a bike in years...I don't want to fall...what I want   is to ride the long approach's to the birding areas, that I enjoy.  Such as Huntington Beach a 4 mile beach walk round trip...Santee NWR it has a 2 or 3 mile approach walk see  you're out on foot all day as they don't allow any cars in the birding area...Also Pine Island Unit...2 mile approach walk round trip...So Thats my hope anyways...ride the approach lock up the bike bird all day then ride back to the parking area.

So now they say you can travel from state to state without being tested or quarantining when you arrive..(BUT coming into the USA you will need a negative test result)..ONCE  you have had both shots..

I forgot it was good Friday and I could not figure out why Walmart was swamped with people...I wanted to yell MOVE out of the way!  They stop to "chat" in the Aisle...they block the entire lane by parking their cart on one side and they stand on the other...AND the people who Lean on the shopping cart and roll themselves around Please JUST move to one side don't go down the middle of the aisle. Good thing I had on a mask no one could read my lips.

A scare...

HOA it's cold.

Im watching the tiny hummingbird drink from the feeder and wondering how he will survive the next  2 days we have a freeze warning tonight and tomorrow.. And the wind, 30 -35 mph.  Still I went out I just could not deal with an inside day so too cold to work in the yard,  I took off in the van and just basically went sight seeing in the Wildlife Refuge...I was tempted to go search for the beaver again but I went to a different part of the refuge..

Nothing much was out and about...but I enjoyed just being outside and looking at the landscape as it puts on it's spring coat.   The really soft greens and reds are so nice to see...the yellow jasmine is blooming as well as the dogwood, the wild plum and more.  Pollen is a big deal here due to the Abnormal amount of Pine Trees.  Due to the greed of the timber barons we all suffer...that is just plain WRONG.

Last night I had a scare with my dog Floss....I was eating a Fudge Stripped cookie, and it broke in half, and one half hit the floor...SHE jumped on it ate before I could stop her!!
SO I immediately got online to check the danger of that cookie...So I learned a few things...The dangerous dose is more than 450mg.  Cocoa is the most dangerous type of chocolate, and that is what kind it was.  So the rule of thumb for toxicity and your dog could be in trouble is 7mg per kg of body weight...So you need to know the weight of your dog, In Kilograms,  the type chocolate they ingested, and figure that in Milograms...
The info is on the packaging of the cookies...serving size, type of the chocolate, and the weight of the product.  Like in this pack it had 9 servings and serving size is 3 cookies, and that was 35 G.  One cookie was 11.6 grams and  divide by 1000 to get Miligrams.  There is an online calculator to put in your dogs weight, the amount in Grams, and it will tell you danger of not...She ate only half the cookie, and it had chocolate only on the bottom so I don't think she ingested much..def less than 5 grams.
So my dog is 24.9 KG in weight the cookie she ate was half 0.0058mg of chocolate,
So 0.144mg well below 450mg

BUT the dog may still get sick just won't be in danger of dying...my dog vomited within one hour.  So I went ahead and induced vomiting by using 3% Hydrogen Peroxide,  I looked up
the dose of that and within 15 minutes she emptied the contents of  her stomach! She threw up 3 times in all.  I gave her 3 tbsp in 1/2 cup of water.  She began to drink  water so that was one of the side effects....so I put the peroxide in the water.  DO NOT use my formulas, put in your own numbers...and here is an Ask  A Vet Website..
She is fine and was fine for the 3 hours following the incident before we turned in for the night...and she had a normal night....but It scared me...

So if you have a dog get an emergency vet number and put it on your fridge or better yet in your phone...The website I linked may charge I don't know I FOUND the answers to my questions in the already answered section...and I was happy to find that.

I didn't see where the cookie landed then I saw her chewing and then she looked up at me, like" yes I will have another piece"...OMG I was like NOOOOOOOooooooooooooooo.
Dogs also should not eat onions, macadamia nuts, and lots of other human foods...Look it up to be sure you don't let your dogs eat something they should not have.

So guess what day it is???

Life Changes

HEN YOU WITNESS Murder...

The trial of the killer of George Floyd is going on now and it's on the news daily.  I have not kept my opinion a secret, he is GUILTY of Murder.  Any jury who thinks otherwise is living in  denial.  ONE thing I would ask if I was the Prosecutor in his closing statement is:
"IF this happened to you, would you want that person to face justice for murdering you?

Put yourself in George's shoes...HE was not being arrested for drawing a weapon, robbing a store, the clerk in the store called and said he thought he had a phony $20 bill.  NO One ever said if the bill really was phony.  George Floyd never was charged with ANY crime.  He was killed plain and simple for being BLACK and not immediately submitting to excessive force executed  by an over zealous man who obviously has no business being a police officer.   Chauvin had no compassion, was arrogant, and was not open to ANY advice from his co-workers and the bystanders who HAD George Floyd's best interest at heart.  It was cold blooded brutal murder.

The clerk who called the police testified today  he feels sad and guilty for calling the police, he said "I  should have not taken the $20 bill if I hadn't have  accepted the bill this would not have happened." I can imagine how that kid feels he is just a young guy maybe 19 yrs old...he looked so sad.  Every one of those bystanders should sue the city and Chauvin for the trauma he put them through....they were forced to witness a murder as they tried to stop  it. Each one of them is, Im sure, suffering PTSD...you can't witness something like that and it not affect you, if it doesn't you have no soul.

His defense attorney is trying to say the crowd distracted the killer officer and so therefore he was "what"? NOT aware??  Well that is what the bystanders were saying "YOU are killing a man." He threatened one with his mace, personally I already know what I would do...I would have gone to the trashcan on the sidewalk got the first bottle in there and did a Direct overhand smash toward the head of Chauvin, that would have drawn his ire and he would have gotten off George's neck to come after me...

Yes I would have been arrested, I would have been arraigned and had a jury trial and that jury would set me free. I would tell my lawyer to ask the jury the same thing, "would you want this woman to toss a bottle at this officer to stop him from murdering you if that was you on the ground under his knee, pressing you into the pavement with all his weight, would any of you like to volunteer to have this knee hold practiced  on  you, this way you can experience whether it would stop you from breathing? Any volunteers?"

And when they would have asked me on the stand "why did you attempt to hit the office in head with a bottle?" My answer would be
"to save the life of the  man he was in the process of murdering."
